Our School Captains and Vice Captains are chosen by the Principal at the end of the school year. Candidates are required to present a speech to all members of staff highlighting why they are the best candidate for the leadership team, with two girls and two boys chosen to represent Templeton the following year. The School Captains and Vice Captains have a responsibility to not only lead the school cohort, but to host a weekly assembly and represent Templeton at network events.

Our four Templeton Houses are named after four Australian sporting legends, Ian Chappell, John Newcombe, Shane Gould and Raelene Boyle. Under our Programs tab, you can find further information about each of these legends, and their significance in Australian Sport. Our House Captains are voted for by students in Grade 3-6 at the start of each school year. In Years 3 and 4, students also vote for 3/4 Sports Captains, who setup and help run 3/4 Sport every week on a Thursday afternoon.

Our Student Councillors are elected by their peers at the beginning of each year. Those elected attend Student Council Meetings, organising fundraising days, lunch orders and other school events. Our Student Council is chaired by our School Captains and Vice-Captains, and supervised by Mr Schanssema and Mrs Bavage.

Our MICE (Masters in Computer Education) are responsible for maintaining our technology throughout the school. The Year 5 MICE students assist our Lab Teachers with Prep students, while the Year 6 MICE mentor the Year 1 students. MICE are also assigned a specific grade to offer additional technical support throughout the year. MICE students must submit a resume and undergo a testing process to gain selection in their role.

Our CARE (Citizens Are Responsible) students work with local kinders and Student Council. They run lunchtime activities, mentor younger students and create wider community engagement. CARE students are selected in Term 1 of Year 6, and must complete a resume and interview process with the Year 6 Team.
